Purpose 
Responsible for supporting the U.S. benefits program by ensuring the administration and delivery of our plans in the areas of disability management, health and welfare benefit administration, retirement plans and retiree/survivor services are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. This role works closely with the Senior Manager, U.S. Benefits, numerous internal and external vendors, and the Total Rewards COE. 
What You'll Do

Responsible for supporting the enterprise-wide leave of absence program</li><li>
Support the end-to-end leave administration process to ensure the efficient execution of the leave management program and serve as resource for all leave related questions, processes and procedures for employees</li><li>
Through coordination with leave management vendor, deliver disability and family leaves in accordance with state, federal and Bank policies</li><li>
Identifies opportunities and gaps in the benefits and leaves processes and suggests solutions as appropriate</li><li>
Conduct employee benefit information sessions for health, welfare, retirement, and ancillary benefits</li><li>
Participate in the development and review of employee benefit communication materials (i.e. summary plan descriptions, U.S. wide announcements, FAQs, etc.). Ensures benefit documents are up to date and available on internal sites.</li><li>
Policy interpretation, eligibility determination, and day-to-day administration of all benefits, retiree programs, retirement and well-being programs within established standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)</li><li>
Assists in establishing, strengthening and development of U.S. HR benefit policies, processes, technologies and departmental workflow with an understanding of industry best practices</li><li>
Partner with Benefits vendors and Senior Manager on the identification and remediation of various technology issue management and enhancements</li><li>
Coordinates, in partnership with the Benefits Manager; Open Enrollment, vendors relations, internal communications, annual audit materials, and knowledge management tool</li><li>

Requisition ID: 211567&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The Global Identity &amp;amp; Access Management organization is responsible for setting the strategy and roadmap for Identity and Access Management (IAM) and defining, delivering, operating, and governing security controls pertaining to IAM across Scotiabank globally.  This includes Identity Lifecycle Management, centralized provisioning of workforce identities, access governance, certification of workforce identities and accounts, management of privileged access, authentication including Multi-Factor Authentication and Single Sign-On, as well as the selection and integration of IAM solutions.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Role &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;The Senior IAM Engineer handles the practical requirements analysis, providing integration solution, development, implementation and support for Web Access Management systems.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Is this role right for you? &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;You will be working with a development team to handle the whole project cycle and deliver quality technical solutions. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;You want to have the responsibility of designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;You have a passion for learning Security technologies, methodologies and industry best practices. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;You can take part in an on-call pager rotation to provide after-hours maintenance support. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;You love initiating proactive communication with internal/external teams. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Ensure all software and infrastructure systems have appropriate information controls, backup and recovery strategies and are designed for high availability and disaster recovery &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Investigate, perform root cause analysis, and resolve system problems during standard work hours and/or assigned on-call hours &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Provide technical leadership to Level 1 and Level 2 support and development teams concerning the catalogue of IAM services and solutions provided &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;You have strong experience in DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub etc. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;You have strong experience in Java, Cloud, and Web development. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;You have knowledge of system monitoring such as Splunk and Dynatrace. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;You have Knowledge of security protocols such as SAML 2.0, Auth 2.0, LDAP and MFA. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;You have a working knowledge and understanding of Linux and Tomcat. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;You have a working knowledge and understanding of cryptography and certificate management. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Knowledge of Identity management products and technologies (asset) &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Working knowledge and understanding of identity lifecycle management and governance/auditing &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Superior problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve work issues with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Strong communication both verbal and written and good interpersonal skills to build relationships with business partners &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What's in it for you?&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Diversity, Equity, Inclusion &amp;amp; Allyship - We strive to create an inclusive culture where every employee is empowered to reach their fullest potential, respected for who they are, and are embraced through bias-free practices and inclusive values across Scotiabank.
