Responsibilities

  • The intern will be exposed to and provide support to all functional areas of the PBS shared service model, as mentioned above
  • Potential duties in the PO Creation functional area include: (1) Communication with site regarding their procurement requirements; (2) Communication with vendors for product pricing, order delivery status or availability of materials; (3) Closure of obsolete purchase orders; (4) Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) PO Creation; and (5) Backorder management
  • Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, proposing solutions, and assisting with the implementation of process enhancements.
  • Providing administrative support to department staff, which may include organizing files, handling correspondence, and assisting with project management tasks.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from different departments or teams to facilitate smooth operations and ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Duties may be both projects oriented as well as daily operational responsibilities.
