Responsibilities

  • The post holder will work as part of the Dental Nurse Team.
  • The Dental Nurse will ensure patients and carers are received in a calm, courteous and reassuring manner and prepares them to undergo treatment.
  • The Dental Nurse will assist the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Professional and Technical skills and assists members of the multidisciplinary team in the supervision of the patient until they are fit to leave the department.
  • All members of the Dental Nurse team are expected to take on additional link roles to support the close team. These can include Moving & Handling, Fire or Dementia Link.
  • The role requires the post holder to be flexible but the working pattern required is a follows: Monday 08.00 - 14.00 (6hrs), Tuesday 08.00 - 13.00 (5hrs), Wednesday 08.00 - 17.00 (8hrs), Thursday 08.00 - 13.00 (5hrs), Friday 08.00 - 14.00 (6hrs).
  • You are invited to attend the department for an informal visit.
