Responsibilities

  • Lead development, and organise the delivery and oversight, of programmes contributing to productivity and financial improvement within UHS (whilst maintaining quality of care to patients).
  • Provide strategic leadership for the Planning function within UHS, including the development of processes, education programmes, and quality assurance.
  • Lead the development of more complex appraisals and proposals which are of significant importance to the Trust as a whole, including formal bids or cases for HIOW ICB and NHS England approval.
  • Contribute to the Annual Operating Plan, including assessment of external requirements, coordination between UHS functions, and preparation of options to respond to key Trust challenges.
  • Work closely with senior leaders, directors, and clinicians across the organisation, and with colleagues outside the trust in ICBs, Networks and NHS England.
