Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage, maintain, and support Crux’s IT hardware and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and robustness.
  • Research and implement new technologies and software/hardware enhancements to ensure the best fit, value, and future-proofing for the business.
  • Review and renew software subscriptions and maintenance agreements.
  • Monitor and analyse software license usage, ensuring compliance and cost-efficiency.
  • Support and administer user access for key software libraries (e.g., Abaqus, SolidWorks, Windchill, Creo, CETOL).
  • Oversee IT compliance, including data, information, and cyber security management.
  • Maintain certifications such as Cyber Essentials, ensuring compliance with all necessary frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (ISO9001 & ISO13485), updating IT-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), business continuity plans, and other documentation as required.
  • Respond to customer information requests promptly and accurately.
  • Develop and implement IT strategy in collaboration with the Head of Operations, Quality, and Directors.
  • Compile and present business cases for proposed IT and infrastructure changes to senior management, aligning IT solutions with business objectives.
  • Provide regular updates on IT and infrastructure performance, reporting against objectives (OKRs).
  • Run a Quarterly IT Strategy Meeting to evaluate progress, prioritise initiatives, and align efforts for the upcoming quarter.
