The team

Based in London, you will be part of the legal team supporting the Schroders Capital Private Equity business. The team,which is located in Zurich, London, Jersey, Luxembourg and Shanghai, is part of the larger Schroders Capital and Schroders Group Legal team supporting the strategic growth of the business, and identifying, managing and reporting legal risks.

Working as part of the Legal Team, you will manage all legal aspects of the private equity fund and product structuring process, investment process as well as adjacent corporate and contractual matters.

What you&rsquo;ll do

<li>Project managing the legal workstreams of new funds and mandate launches for the Schroders Capital Private Equity business;</li>
<li>Participate in discussions with the Private Equity Product Management team to refine new product ideas and working alongside internal Tax team to identify appropriate fund and management structure and outline fund terms;</li>

Programme overview:

Schroders&rsquo; two-year apprenticeship programmes give school and college leavers a hands-on introduction to investment management and the opportunity to develop key skills, gain professional qualifications and build an industry network. We have a wide range of opportunities across our business.

The Team

In this programme you will be part of the Investment Legal team within our Legal and Governance department. You&rsquo;ll be working alongside solicitors and paralegals who draft, review and negotiate legal trading contracts for all our global Schroders entities across a variety of client types and fund ranges. 


What you&rsquo;ll do
<ul><li> Assist with answering queries that come to the legal inbox.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Collate legal documentation in response to client requests.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Arrange for the signing of legal agreements.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Prepare summaries of key legal terms from trading agreements.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Work on legal client capacity checks.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Undertake any ad hoc work required as part of the investment transaction team's daily workload</li></ul>

Investment20/20 


You will join as an apprentice as part of the Investment20/20 programme. You will have opportunities to meet and network with trainees and apprentices across the industry, as well as participate in technical skills training, socials and insight events.

Qualifications required:
