Responsibilities

  • Taking responsibility to ensure work is undertaken in the most appropriate way to maximise efficiency.
  • Managing expectations in terms of deadlines and outcome of tasks assigned.
  • Client take-on and opening of matters in iManage.
  • Processing invoices and simple expense claims.
  • Develop expertise in the firm's complex billing system, processes and key client billing requirements.
  • Understanding the end-to-end billing process including creating standard bills, disbursements, amending narratives and raising credit notes.
  • Document and share client billing requirements with PA team.
  • Work closely with credit control team to resolve billing reversals, client queries and keep track of provision of invoices to clients.
  • Ensure urgent billing requests are promptly communicated to the appropriate PA and fee earners.
  • Be a flexible team member who provides billing guidance and assistance to different areas of the business.
  • Ensure clear and concise record keeping relating to billing tasks undertaken and correct filing of tasks and supporting materials (e.g. email instructions / discussions).
